It’s an honor to step into the role of President for the 2025–2026 Toastmasters term.

I feel incredibly fortunate to lead such a dynamic and inspiring group of individuals. Southern Lights is a club built on support, encouragement, and positivity—and I’m excited to work with our new executive team to build on the momentum we’ve achieved over the past year.

Like many, I joined Toastmasters to overcome my fear of public speaking. I still remember the day of my Icebreaker speech—I was moments away from walking out, convinced I couldn’t go through with it. But thanks to the guidance of my mentor, I found the courage to take that first step. Now, two years later, here I am and I’m grateful I stayed.

Our Southern Lights club takes pride in delivering engaging, high-quality meetings with a strong sense of professionalism and community. We’re lucky to have a diverse mix of members, each bringing unique perspectives and strengths.
